[Short Poem][Non-Touhou] The herbalist, the elixir, and the vile village elder

Save himself or save a stranger.
A difficult choice, for the one elixir
Save himself, and lives in regret
Save the stranger, and takes his last breath

In the end, who should he kill
The village elder who bears ill will
The newcomer whose mind is pure
Who should he kill, he is not sure
___________________
In his final moment, he has decided
The village elder will pay his prices
The stranger will regain his breath
He will embrace his final death
___________________
In the end, the stranger whispered
"Live on, for I am the gunslinger"
In tears, the elixir he swallows
The stranger digs a grave so shallow
___________________
The loud gunshot piercing the silent night
The herbalist stands still and cries
"Another life I've failed saving"
Contribute to his eternal suffering
___________________
The kangaroo court held by the elder
Accuse the herbalist with the crime of murder
The execution will be held this noon
His eternal suffering will be ending soon
___________________
The rope on his neck chokes him to death
The lungs in his chest trying to breath
Piercing the gloomy sky, a cry so tormented
"A fitting end, for the crime I've committed"
