Hello everyone,I'm PakZhang,a touhou fan from China,and I'm going to write a series of posts in the Chinese biggest touhou BBS to introduce the story related with touhou in the countries all over the world.Now I'm going to write text about you,although I have investigated a lot,but still need know something,hope you can help me to write a accurate article.

1. I'm not really sure, but you can combine the number of fans here and facebook fan page to see for yourself
2. I and my friend who also fan of touhou is in Hà Nội, a few of my other friend is in HCM

1: Touhou in Vietnam have small fan because many people don't know it even exist because they mostly only watch anime but since touhou is not an anime

1. As of now, there are 281 people in this forum, and most of us are Vietnamese. Of course, not all Touhou fans in Vietnam join this forum, so this number may not be that accurate.

2. The thing is, in Vietnam the only two cities where there are often events, or "festivals" where Anime-Manga fans can gather are Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, so the fans outside of those cities often have no way to meet and do things like cosplaying and posting pictures on Facebook. So the only fans we ever see on the Internet are from Hanoi and HCM... There may be fans from other places, but they're mostly quiet and invisible...

3. My sister kept asking me to play EoSD, and so I did and liked the weird, dreamlike atmosphere of that game

4. I don't know, but I think 2 years ago in a festival in Hanoi there was a Hisoutensoku tournament with a Flandre figure as prize... Lots of people joined, so I think the answer would be, "quite a lot".

5. In terms of fanwork... Yeah, we probably don't have that much. Doujin culture is mostly nonexistent in Vietnam. We have a game project called "Vietnamhou" that had been ongoing since last year and will be done in... who knows ?

6. Not that I know of.

7. Not exactly... We are few and scatterred, and making doujin stuff just... isn't a thing yet. One of ours is the Namusan admin of the Touhou Project page on Facebook, it has like 65000 likes now. Does it count (´･_･`) ?

8. I think there was once a group in Hanoi who would regularly go on offline events with each other, and once cosplayed together at a festival in 2012. They haven't been really active since then though. I wonder where they are now...?

Greetings from Vietnam. It's wonderful to hear from the Chinese TH community, which I believe is the largest foreign fanbase of TH. I wish you success in your series.
Here in this forum we have a very active and dynamic community of TH fanfiction writers. The contents of our stories range from simple self-insertion to complex re-imagination of the TH universe. During the last summer vacation, there were bimonthly, character-centric challenges in the fanfiction division; this was put on hold for the sake of the coming academic year. Nevertheless, many fanfictions are regularly updated with new chapters. These guys really are the symbol of diligence and passion.
As for the fanart division, we have something that, as far as I have seen, is a unique phenomenon. There are two main groups of artists: TH fans who take an interest in drawing, and artists who take an interest in TH. The formers are loved for their enthusiasm, and the latters --- their talent. As a result, beside a topic specialized in TH fanarts, we have a dedicated topic for artists to host any non-TH drawings they would like to share (in this example is an artist specialized in concept arts). The same practice has since spawned a whole subbox for non-TH matters.
